A historical adventure for all ages. Wings of Liberation is located in the heart of the area where the airborne landings took place on September 17, 1944. This is where the liberation of the Southern Netherlands began. In the various exhibition halls, you'll discover the story of the occupation, the oppression, and the eventual liberation. The museum brings all of this to life with a unique collection of tracked vehicles, aircraft, impressive dioramas, authentic photos, and weapons that were actually used during Operation Market Garden. Interactive and educational for the whole family Let history come to life as you walk through the museum. Children will be amazed by the enormous aircraft and exciting stories, while together you discover how important Operation Market Garden was to the liberation. The interactive dioramas and captivating explanations make this museum visit not only educational, but also unforgettable. The Gnome Trail Do you also want to know everything about nature? Then go on a discovery tour with the Pluk gnome family. The Gnome Trail can be walked during the opening hours of Bevrijdende Vleugels (Liberating Wings). The booklet is available at Bevrijdende Vleugels until 3:30 PM for only €5.00 per booklet, one booklet is enough for the whole family. Still hungry after your visit to the museum? At Brasserie ’t Boshuys, you can sit down for a toasted sandwich, pancake, or fries with a snack. While you relax, the children can play outside in the play castle or inside in the playroom.
