Art at its coolest

Imagine walking through an ice-cold film set, surrounded by gigantic sculptures that seem to have come straight from the screen. From December 13, 2025 to March 8, 2026, Biddinghuizen will be transformed into a magical world of ice and snow, where 45 top artists will transform over 300,000 kilos of ice and 275,000 kilos of snow into scenes from world-famous films.

Let’s go to the movies: Ice sculptures from the silver screen

Sail on the Titanic, disappear into Alice’s wonderland, escape traps and dangers with Indiana Jones, swim with the sharks from Jaws, or dance through the streets from Pulp Fiction. Each scene is meticulously crafted, atmospherically lit, and so lifelike you'll forget it's all made of ice. Inside, warm up in our spacious, cozy restaurant with delicious winter treats. We'll also be screening an exclusive making-of film, where you'll discover how these gigantic works of art are created. A day full of winter fun Outside, a complete winter experience awaits: a cozy curling rink, atmospheric fire pits, and heartwarming mulled wine. There's a spacious outdoor playground for children. This year, too, there's an impressive Street Art exhibition featuring work by some of the best Dutch artists. With over 1,500 m² of experience, the festival is an unforgettable outing for all ages. But beware: this world only exists for one winter. Once the ice melts, it's gone forever. So be quick and don't miss it!

Accessibility

Are you coming by car? Then you pay €5 in parking fees for a full day. Consult for the exact route from your starting point and for current departure and travel times. Prefer public transport? Travel to Harderwijk or Dronten station and take bus 147 to the Bremerbergweg bus stop. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, the one and only Ice Sculpture shuttle bus will take you from Bremerbergweg to the festival site and back. The bus runs from 10:00 AM.
